Sunday School
At Trinity, Sunday School includes focused learning of the
fundamental Bible stories and what they mean for us; singing favorite
songs just for fun, and for worship (usually
once a month); engaging activities, and telling the Christmas story.
Traditional Sunday School is for children 3 years old through 6th
grade. 7th - 9th graders have focused Bible study as part of Faith
Lives!, and Sr. High Forum is for 10th -12th graders. 3rd graders
receive a study Bible from the Women of the ELCA.
3rd - 6th graders are encouraged to participate in Good
News Bearers and 7th - 12th graders are encouraged to participate
in the Jr./Sr. High LYO groups respectively.
Children 3 years old through 6th grade are encouraged
to memorize simple prayers, scripture verses, and parts of Martin
Luther’s Small Catechism using a Memorization
Book developed by Trinity members.
All Sunday School classes meet from 9:15-10:15 a.m. each Sunday
morning September through May. Rally Sunday is September 9, 2007.
The last day of Sunday School will be May 11th, 2008.
Children 3 years old through 3rd grade sing in worship on the second
Sunday of each month September through May.
The Sunday school annual presentation of the Christmas gospel will
be Sunday December 9, 2007, at 9:15 a.m. in the sanctuary.
Practices for this will be Saturday December 8th. |
