Children in grades 3-4 and in grades 5-6 are invited and encouraged
to participate in Good News Bearers. The 3rd and 4th graders meet
in the fellowship hall (church basement) from 3:15-5:00 p.m. (after
school) on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month. The 5th &
6th graders meet in the same place and at the same time on the 1st
and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. Good News Bearers
Jr. and Sr. High members of Trinity are invited and encouraged
to participate in the Trinity Lutheran Youth Organization. Two branches
of the organization exist – Jr. High and Sr. High for students
in those respective grades. Both branches are organized using a
small group model that includes large group devotional/worship time,
large group fellowship and service projects, and small group study
and prayer time. Adult leaders/mentors work with each of the small
groups to facilitate study and discussion, and to assist with spiritual
formation and leadership development in the members of the group.
Jr. High LYO is new in the fall of 2007. The students involved
will be doing the planning and decision-making to set the foundations
for this new group. Some of this will be done as part of the student’s
Faith Lives! experience.
The Sr. High LYO meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:00
p.m. for a fellowship meal and also uses a small group format.
Check the Sunday bulletins and the Trinity
Times for current information on other activities and events
for the Good News Bearers, Jr. and Sr. LYO groups.
