Christian Education > Vacation Bible School & Day Camp
Trinity has a long and strong tradition of Vacation Bible School that invites children to learn and explore the meanings of Bible stories
for everyday living.
Our Theme from 2007 was: Avalanche Ranch! Over 60 Children
participated in Bible story time, arts & crafts, and lots of fun
activities and games from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. for five evenings. On Tuesday
evening, we had a special speaker – dirt bike racer, Tracy Bachman
who told us about his faith, and how it influences his life and work. On
Thursday evening parents and other community members were treated to a
great closing program, and we all had a picnic supper – grilled hot
dogs and s’mores around the campfire.
Vacation Bible school 2008 is
scheduled for evenings, August 3 – 7.

Day Camp was a new experience for
Trinity kids in the summer of 2007. The theme was “Listen! God is
Calling!” From 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, over 50
children had a great time with the staff from EWALU Bible Camp, hearing
familiar Bible stories, learning new songs, playing new games and doing
lots of fun activities – including a treasure hunt, “camp
olympics” and water games, and singing at Belmond Care Center. On
Friday morning from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., they did a service project in the
barn out at the Jenison Meacham Art Museum. The EWALU staff also joined us for
some fun at the Belmond pool one evening. On Thursday evening, parents and
family members of Day Campers had a pot-luck supper, enjoyed a closing
program and a joined in for a camp-fire – EWALU style.
Day Camp 2008 is set for July
14-18.
